WWE.com: Superstars’ Most Underrated Matches

Sheamus vs. Christian – Memphis Street Fight (Raw, March 10, 2014)

“I think one of my favorite matches was the Memphis Street Fight with Christian earlier this year when I was coming back from injury. When he had the drum and I Brogue Kicked him through the drum, that was a really great moment. I only wish we could have had that match at WrestleMania; a New Orleans Street Fight would’ve been good. He’s one of the most fun competitors to be in the ring with. Keeps you on your toes, very creative, and very, very underrated in my opinion. He’s never had a bad match… and he’s a great entertainer, too. He’s achieved a lot in his career, so it’s hard to say [Christian is underrated], but I think he’s as good as Edge.” – SHEAMUS

Christian And Edge Reunite On Syfy’s ‘Haven’

WWE Superstar Christian (Jay Reso), will reunite with his lifelong friend and former tag team partner WWE Hall of Famer Edge (Adam Copeland), for a recurring guest arc on Syfy’s fan-favorite series “Haven,” which airs Fridays at 7 p.m. ET/PT. Christian will appear in an all-new episode airing Nov. 28, and will reprise the role for two additional episodes airing later in 2015.

Life imitates art with Christian portraying McHugh, one of Dwight’s (Edge) oldest and closest friends. McHugh is smart, with ice water for blood, hammers for fists and a dogged sense of loyalty. McHugh and Dwight served as Army Rangers together, as well as members of The Guard. But McHugh left this life for a simpler one, determined to remain out of the line of fire. Dwight knows he could use the help of his fierce friend, but respects McHugh’s desire to live under the radar.

When Dwight finds himself in a romantic conundrum in the episode “Chemistry,” McHugh is the first one Dwight turns to. McHugh counsels Dwight through the challenge, while also considering joining forces with his old friend to once again defend the town of Haven, Maine.

Haven, based on the novella The Colorado Kid from renowned author Stephen King, follows former FBI agent Audrey Parker, who becomes a cop in the small town of Haven, Maine, and soon discovers the town’s many secrets, which also hold the key to unlocking the mysteries of her lost past.

WWE.com: The 16 Most Decorated Champions In WWE History

#12 (tied): Christian (20)

Nine-time World Tag Team Champion
Four-time Intercontinental Champion
Two-time World Heavyweight Champion
Two-time ECW Champion
One-time European Champion
One-time Hardcore Champion
One-time Light Heavyweight Champion

The WWE Universe fondly recalls Christian’s formative years as the tandem title partner of Edge, but often forget that Captain Charisma literally started accruing championships from day one. His WWE debut match at Judgment Day 1998 ended with Christian becoming the second Light Heavyweight Champion in history, and the Canadian Superstar has cluttered his trophy case with WWE gold ever since.

After claiming a share of an unprecedented six World Tag Team Championship reigns alongside The Rated-R Superstar, Christian went out on his own and proceeded to match that tally in singles competition. His 16-year career includes tenures as Intercontinental, European and ECW Champion and culminates with the right to call himself a World Champion in 2011 – followed by constant pleas for one more title opportunity.

One more match? If one of WWE’s most precious metals is on the line, Christian will be there.
