Adam ‘Edge’ Copeland Mentions Christian In Recent Interview With Alternative Nation

In a recent interview with Alternative Nation, WWE Hall of Famer and one of the current stars of SyFy’s Haven, Adam ‘Edge’ Copeland discussed several topics, including his love of alternative rock bands, if he’ll ever return to the WWE, what he thinks about WWE’s Attitude Era as well as Christian’s future and working with him on Haven. You can check out the full interview here, here’s what he had to say about Christian:

You mentioned Christian being on Haven. How was it working with him again, and do you see acting as something he could do, as his career is in an interesting position right now with injury issues and not having wrestled in awhile. But how was it seeing Christian, and what do you think about his future?

Well he’s my best friend, so I know what’s going on with him more than anybody else. But he’s at that kind of point where you sit back and look and go, okay I’m definitely closer to the end of my career than the beginning. After awhile your body just starts telling you, this is a difficult job to do. When you’re in your 20’s and you think you’re indestructible, you can bounce back, but it gets harder when you start climbing into your 40’s.

He came out here, the executive producers of Haven were like, ‘Hey, what’s Christian doing?’ ‘Right now he just had a baby girl, same as us, we’re just kind of talking about that, but he’s just being a Dad.’ They asked if he’d be interested in coming out, I floated it by him, and he said, ‘Yeah, that’d be great. It’d be fun to have the girls see us in a different kind of arena of entertainment than wearing tights and throwing each other around. It would be fun to show them us acting together someday.’ So he got out here, and we hadn’t seen each other in almost a year, so it was nice to be able to sit down and not just talk over the phone or over Facetime, but to actually just get caught up, more than anything else.

Friday Night Smackdown Coverage – November 7th 2014

The Peep Show with special guest Dean Ambrose
We are back and it is time for the return of the Peep Show and Christian. Christian says that when you least expect it, Captain Charisma shows up looking for one…more…episode of the Peep Show. He says that he sees that he has a lot of Peeps in Albany. He says that he just got back from the set of Haven. He mentions that his episode featuring Edge will air on November 28th right before Smackdown. There is a lot of wild stuff going on. You have the stipulation announced by Vince McMahon in the Team Authority versus Team Cena match at Survivor Series.

Christian takes a quick poll of the crowd for the main event of Survivor Series and the majority feel that Team Cena will win. Christian says that things are going to be getting chaotic over the next few weeks…

Dean Ambrose’s music plays and he appears to have jumped Christian’s cue for him to come to the ring. We have a video package to show why Dean is not in a gregarious mood tonight. Christian introduces the man who doesn’t like introductions, Dean Ambrose.

Christian says the last time he saw Dean, he was running with the Shield. He asks Dean what is it like to be Dean Ambrose now.

Dean says that it is a bowl of cherries. He has no friends and there are enemies around each corner.

Christian mentions Bray Wyatt, the man who cost Dean his match at Hell in a Cell. Why did Bray do it?

Dean asks Christian if he knows. Dean says that you usually go after the person who has something that you want, but Dean says that he has nothing. There is no title for Bray to take from him. What does he want? Dean says that he thinks Bray likes to play mind games. The people who cannot handle the volume being turned up, so Bray preys on weak minded people.

WWE.com: Superstars’ Most Underrated Matches

Sheamus vs. Christian – Memphis Street Fight (Raw, March 10, 2014)

“I think one of my favorite matches was the Memphis Street Fight with Christian earlier this year when I was coming back from injury. When he had the drum and I Brogue Kicked him through the drum, that was a really great moment. I only wish we could have had that match at WrestleMania; a New Orleans Street Fight would’ve been good. He’s one of the most fun competitors to be in the ring with. Keeps you on your toes, very creative, and very, very underrated in my opinion. He’s never had a bad match… and he’s a great entertainer, too. He’s achieved a lot in his career, so it’s hard to say [Christian is underrated], but I think he’s as good as Edge.” – SHEAMUS
