It’s funny, I remember when I wrote last year’s anniversary message and it doesn’t feel like a whole year has gone by. I remember mentioning that I never had the chance to meet him, like so many others have and I also remember that this time, last year, he was out injured after tearing his pectoral muscle. I know that this sounds cliche but how time changes many things.

Back in February, as everyone knows, Christian made his return to the WWE at the Elimination Chamber pay-per-view and has been at the top of his game ever since. He stood by his best friend, Edge’s (Adam Copeland) side during what was to be his last match at Wrestlemania 27 earlier this year and after Edge’s sudden retirement Christian became a main eventer and won the World Heavyweight Championship for the first time at the Extreme Rules pay-per-view. Sure, he lost it on the following Smackdown broadcast, but he was able to win the Championship back from Randy Orton at Money In The Bank, back in July. Even though he may no longer be the World Heavyweight Champion, he’s still doing the Peeps proud and no matter what, we’ll always be there cheering him on, whether he likes it or not!

Now that the little round up of the year is taken care of, I want to take the time to thank each and every one of you that take the time to visit the site. It sounds sappy but I wouldn’t still being going on if it wasn’t for you guys. As most of you know it’s been a tough few months for me, but I knew that, even though there was many times that I felt like giving up I just couldn’t do it. Sure there’s a few more Christian sites out there than there was when I first started let’s face it, there wasn’t ANY when I first started lol and I know that I’ve not been trying as much as I used to recently, but I’m happy to say that the recent lack of anything on this site and my lack of wanting to work on it, is a thing of the past. I want to thank you guys and at the same time apologise for just letting the site sit here and look pretty.

I know that I thank Carmisha and David every year, but as I say every year, if it wasn’t for them, there would be no Instant Classic! Thanks also to everyone that has stuck by me and the site for the past three years, how crazy has it been?! To our new visitors, thanks so much for taking the time to check the site out and I hope that I’m doing the best job that I can! Another big thank you to everyone out there, whether you’ve just stumbled upon the site, you casually check it out, you’ve donated anything, sent me messages, just thank you for being apart of making Instant Classic the best source for Jay ‘Christian’ Reso!

As always, I HAVE to thank the man himself, Christian! Most of you don’t know this, he doesn’t know it himself, but he helped me out a hell of a lot after the passing of my Nan back in July and I can’t even explain how much I appreciated how he helped me. So thank you again Christian, so much. Also thank you for giving me the chance to meet you back in April, something that I will never forget and I really did appreciate you taking the time to talk to me, even if it was only for a few minutes. Thank you for eveything that you’ve done for all of the Peeps around the world and you know that no matter what, we’ll continue to support you 100%. Thanks again for everything and I really hope that the site makes you proud!

It’s been 11 months in the making, ok it hasn’t been 11 months, more like 2, but it has been 11 months since we’ve seen a new look up here, today that all changes! As you can see we’ve not only got one, but two new layouts up on the site, the first as you can see (and if you can’t, simply clear your caches) is on the main site and the second is a matching layout for our gallery The Peep Show!

We may not have gone through the same trials and tribulations that we went through on our first year though, but in my eyes, it’s been one of the best year’s that I could have hoped for, well for the most part anyway.

I was lucky enough to see Christian compete in two matches, back in April, when the WWE toured Europe and taped their weekly shows in London. I have to admit, I may not have been able to meet Christian, like many of you lucky people have had the opportunity to, but just seeing him live in the ring was good enough for me!

The Peeps worldwide have also been lucky enough to be able to communicate with Captain Charisma himself, after he joined the social networking site, Twitter, at the end of August, where he has over 40,000 followers already!

Unfortunately though, with all of this good news there’s a little bit of bad news to go with it. Recently we were all made aware of an injury that has taken Christian out for up to six months, I know that I can speak for the rest of you when I say that we will miss seeing Christian on our screens, but we can all take solace in the fact that he’s in safe hands on the road to recovery. After some well deserved rest I’m sure that we’ll be seeing Christian, in a few months time, better than ever before.

With all of the being said, I first want to thank Carmisha and David again, you all should know by now, if it wasn’t for them, this site would have never been created. I also want to thank everyone who has ever taken the time to visit the site, left a comment or even donated anything. I really do appreciate you guys for standing by the site for as long as you have. To our new visitors, I hope that the site will be your first stop for everything Christian / Jay Reso related in the coming future too. I try to do the best that I can and I hope that you also realise that this place would not be where it is today if it wasn’t for you. I hope that you all continue to visit, whether you’re a new visitor, or even if you been visiting the site since the very beginning and I hope that I can keep up the very same standards, when it comes to Instant Classic, that I have been doing for the past two years.

Now, of course I have to thank the man himself, Jay Reso. Thanks so much for taking the time to visit the site, it may be a stupidly obvious thing to say but if it wasn’t for you, the site wouldn’t be here in the first place. Thank you for taking the time to leave me messages and I’m happy to know that you liked what you saw when you first decided to take a look at the site, it really means a lot. I know that you’ll probably continue to thank me for all of the hard work that I put into this place, but to be honest, it’s something that I love to do and as corny as it sounds, you’re an inspiration to many of us, so running this site for as long as I have (and will continue to do), has and always will be a pleasure. No matter where anything takes you in life, I just hope that you know that your fans, the Peeps, will continue to support you no matter what! Thanks again for everything Jay!

WrestleMania 2000 – April 2, 2000 – May 29, 2000

Edge & Christian and The Hardy Boyz challenged the Dudleys for the World Tag Team Championship at WrestleMania 2000 in a Ladder Match. This wasn’t any ordinary Ladder Match, though. The match started with three ladders already in play and later saw several tables put into use. In one of the more brutal matches in WrestleMania history, Edge and Christian ultimately prevailed when Edge knocked Matt Hardy off a make-shift scaffold made out of the ladders, with a table placed over them and grabbed the belts for the win and duo’s first title reign.
