As the Road Dogg was about to be smashed in the corner, he turned around and smacked Christian in the jaw extremely hard. Billy Gunn then annihilated both Edge and Christian as Jesse James got a second wind and hit Edge in the corner. Christian then hit a reverse-DDT as the Road Dogg missed a pumphandle slam. Edge then hit a spear on the Road Dogg, as the Hardy Boyz ran out and knocked out Edge, along with Christian. Billy Gunn then hit the famouser for the pin.

Christian then tries to leave through the door, only to be grabbed by the feet and pulled in by his brother edge. Both in the ring they exchange knife-edge chops, edge goes for the buzzkiller, and misses, Christian takes advantage and locks on the sleeper, and gets a 2 count. Edge gets up and hits Christian with the spear, but it took too much out of edge and he couldn’t make the cover straight away. He gets a 2 count. Christian gets up and goes for the un-prettier, Edge reverses it and hits the Edge-o-matic, he tries to climb out, but gets pulled down by Christian.

Edge throws Christian into the cage and climbs up again, Christian follows him up and throws him off, Edge comes after him, and Christian is half way down the other side when, Edge grabs his legs and pulls him through, low-blowing him with the bars. He takes the tape off his wrists and ties his legs up so Christian is trapped. And Edge, just climbs over the top and from halfway down, jumps and nails Christian with a clothesline, and his feet touch the floor, and retains his title.

He said the last time Captain Charisma was in a tag team match, he pinned Shawn Michaels. He tells Edge to stay out of his way. Edge said if the fans want to see a five second pose, he will give them one. He counts down from five and starts to give the middle finger when a graphic cuts showing that Edge & Christian will face Chris Benoit & Shelton Benjamin next.

Edge & Christian vs. Chris Benoit & Shelton Benjamin
The match starts with Benoit and Christian. Christian gets in a cheap shot, but Benoit comes back with a knee to the gut. Benoit hits a few hard chops on Christian and then irish whips him with force into the opposite corner. Benjamin gets the tag and throws Christian in the air, allowing him to fall back down on the mat with impact. Edge gets the tag after Christian crawls to the corner. Edge hits some hard rights on Benjamin and then taunts Benoit. Edge gives Benjamin a big suplex followed by a quick clothesline.

Christian gets the tag and tries to give Benjamin a monkey flip, but Benjamin lands on his feet and gives Christian a big powerslam for a two count. Edge gets the tag soon after and Benjamin gives him facebuster. Benoit gets the tag and Edge rolls out of the ring. Christian gets off the ring apron and argues with Edge on the outside. Benoit and Benjamin both do a baseball slide, knocking out Edge and Christian on the outside as we go to a commercial break.

We are back from commercial and Edge gets a two count on Benjamin. During the break, Edge tossed Benjaming over the top rope followed by Tyson Tomko taking out Benjamin with a big clothesline on the outside. Back live, Edge applies an armbar on Benjamin. Benjamin rolls out of it, but Edge takes him down with a big boot soon after. Christian gets the tag as both Edge/Christian give Benjamin a double hip toss. Christian works on Benjamin’s left arm and then taunts at Benoit.

This distracts the referee, allowing Edge to ring the arm of Benjamin over the second rope. Christian applies another submission on Benjamin’s left arm, Benjamin fights back, but Christian takes him down with a quick armbar. Edge gets the tag. Edge gets down on all fours, Christian jumps off his back, but Benjamin moves out of the way. Benjamin knocks out Edge and tags in Benoit. Benoit gives Christian a big back suplex followed by pulling Edge into the ring, landing some hard rights.

Christian breaks it up quickly, but Benoit gives him three german suplexes. Tomko gets a cheap shot in on Benoit, Edge goes for the Spear and hits Tomko instead. Benoit gives Edge three german suplexes and signals for the end. Christian prevents Benoit from going up to the top. Benjamin gives Christian the T-Bone Suplex followed by Benoit hitting a headbutt off the top rope. Benoit applies the Crossface on Christian and he tapes out soon afterwards.

After the match, Benoit and Benjamin walk up the ramp staring down both Edge and Christian. Edge walks around the ring upset following the loss. Christian is on the ground trying to recover. Edge slaps Christian on the back of the head and then starts to kick him on the ground. Edge picks up Christian and launches him into the ring post. Edge gets in Christian’s face and tells him it is all his fault.

Christian said he is forgetting somebody. He says oh yeah, he is the guy who inspired this little rap, the WWE Champion John Cena. Christian says, “Hey Cena, you think I’m jealous of your fortunate and fame…well you talk like Snoop Dogg…but you look like Corey Haim.” He said after the Draft, whether it’s RAW or SmackDown, JR or Michael Cole, he will come out on top because “that’s how I roll.”

Later in the night, Edge was shown watching Christian show up as Foley entered the locker room. Christian was shown walking out of a bathroom all sweaty as an EMT checked him out and said he wouldn’t be able to defend the titles. A few minutes later, Edge and Christian were celebrating their victory over Foley saying that “food poisoning ruled.” Foley came back in and looked over a stall to see Christian making fake vomit. He gave Christian an “A for effort” and told them that they had to defend the belts.

Edge & Christian vs. The Acolytes
Edge and Christian ranted on the Dallas Cowboys, Dallas Stars, and JFK…they got interrupted before giving their 5-second pose as The Acolytes grabbed the microphone and said how great Texas was and how bad Canada sucked. Bradshaw promised to make them their personal bitches and the Acolytes attacked both men with a vengeance. Bradshaw caught a flying Christian and hit a fallaway slam from the top rope.

Edge kept trying to block a powerbomb, but Bradshaw finally hit it. Edge came back with a swinging neckbreaker as he and Christian went for a double suplex; they missed and Bradshaw hit a flying shoulder block. Faarooq hit a great powerslam and spinebuster as Bradshaw added a lariat. Faarooq hit a great maneuver on Christian as Edge ran in, showed the referee a championshp belt, and hit Faarooq with it for the DQ. The Acolytes attacked the champs all the way backstage.

Jericho superplexed Christian. Both men lay on their backs. RVD retuned to the ring and went for a cover on Christian. Christian kicked out. RVD and Jericho began battling. Jericho drove RVD’s face into the mat, then went for a Lionsault, but RVD moved. Jericho landed on his feet, but sold a knee injury. RVD hit a Rolling Thunder. Christian then re-entered the ring and went after RVD. RVD gave Christian a drop toe hold, sending him into Jericho. RVD then looked to the crowd, which cheered as he mounted the top rope. RVD hit a Five Star Frog Splash onto both Christian and Jericho. He sold an injury himself and wasn’t able to make the quick pin attempt.

RVD threw Christian over the top rope, and then gave a crescent kick, to Jericho’s face. He then set up Jericho for an Electric Chair. Christian got underneath RVD, though, and powerbombed them both at once. RVD sent Jericho out of the ring. Christian entered with the title belt. RVD ducked and rolled up Christian for a near fall. RVD then went to the top rope, fended off Jericho’s attempt to knock him off balance with a chair, and then went for a Five Star.

Christian had time enough to recover and block RVD’s splash with the Intercontinental belt he brought into the ring, and rolled up RVD for the pin.

Eugene rolled himself into a ball and Christian went for an elbow but Eugene moved and then gave Christian some JYD headbutt. Christian tagged in Tomko and he scored with a right hand and then mauled Eugene on the canvas. Tag back to Christian but Eugene slid outside when they went for a double team clothesline, and Eugene talked to some fans and then hid under the ring. Tomko and Christian thought he was coming out the other side, but he came from behind with a rollup on Christian for two. Eugene with an airplane spin but then walked into a side walk slam by Tomko. Christian with stomps on Eugene and then a tag to Tomko who choked Eugene in the corner. Reverse elbow shots by Tomko and then a Powerslam for two. Tomko raked at the face of Eugene and then tagged in Christian. Christian scored with a shot to the ribs and then a straight right hand.

Eugene started to Hulk up and gave Christian a back body drop and tagged in Regal. Regal with a knockdown and a dropkick on Tomko. Regal went to bring Christian in, but Tomko hit a clothesline from behind and then scored with some mounted punches. Tomko gouged the face of Regal and tagged in Christian. Christian scored with some kicks and punches in the corner and made the cover for two. Christian raked at the eyes of Regal, and Regal’s nose is busted. Christian had the referee distracted while Tomko scored with a cheap shot on Regal. Christian tagged in Tomko and he choked Regal in the corner. Tyson with a big hip toss as the fans chanted “Tomko Sucks”. Tyson with some shoulder thrusts in the corner but Regal came back with some knee’s. Christian with a cheap shot on Regal on the outside and then Tyson locked in a front face lock.

Regal tried to fight to his corner but Christian snuck up behind Eugene and pulled him off the apron. Regal made it to the corner but Eugene was not there. Eugene then tried to come inside, but Christian and Tomko double teamed Regal with the referee’s back turned. Regal and Tyson collided in the middle of the ring and Regal crawled to the wrong corner. Tyson splashed Regal in the corner and then dropped a knee into the face of Regal. Tyson with a charge in the corner, but Regal moved and made the tag. Eugene went to work with right hands on Tyson, and then a big clothesline. Eugene caught Christian off the top and have Tyson a dropkick. Eugene looks to have hurt his left knee and this looks legit as both Christian and Tyson looked lost. Christian and Tomko sent Regal outside, and then Eugene rolled Tyson up from behind for the win, but he is badly hurt.

After the match, Tyson and Christian were shown backstage and they came across Edge. Edge asked Christian how he was feeling. Edge said he had an idea and it involves him, and he can trust him. Christian told Tyson to kick Edge’s ass but Edge said if Christian doesn’t want to be World Champion, then fine. Christian decided to listen and the three walked off.

Later in the night, Edge was shown with Eric Bischoff and Eric said that Edge wants to be taken out of the Elimination Chamber. Edge said he wants the title, but HBK is the referee and he won’t let it happen! Why should Edge go through that! Edge said Christian will take his spot in the Chamber, and then the winner will face Edge tomorrow night on RAW! Eric said the show has already started and he has sponsors and advertisers. Edge said he doesn’t care, all he cares about is him! Eric said there is no way he is making any changes for the match tonight, and he should deal with it. Edge screamed that it wasn’t fair and left.

As expected, both teams reached down and pulled off some high flying moves, in a match that saw both teams uncharacteristically talk trash and administer low blows to one another. Edge nearly won the match with a jumping piledriver, but Jeff Hardy refused to stay down. Over the next several minutes, both teams exchanged power bombs, dropkicks, and even an elbow from the top rope.

As Jeff Hardy was prepared to come off the top, Terri shoved him off, who flew off, hitting the guard rail. She then slapped Matt, who turned right around into a Christian ddt, giving Christian and Edge the win. Christian and Edge, appearing shocked, walked away from the ring. After the bell, Matt Hardy grabbed Terri by the hair, which brought the APA in, who destroyed the Hardys.

Edge & Christian vs. Lance Storm & Mike Awesome
The first match of the event was between Lance Storm and Mike Awesome (ECW), and Edge and Christian (WWF). The match went back and forth until Awesome attempted a cheap shot at Edge from the apron. Edge avoided it, performed a dropkick, and sent Storm on top of him with a back body drop.

Christian then leaped off Edge over the top rope onto Storm and Awesome. As Christian was on the top turnbuckle, Awesome tripped Christian, and attacked his back outside. Back in the ring, Storm and Awesome dominated Christian after Storm threw Christian’s gut into the ringpost. Christian fought back with a crossbody, but Awesome tagged in, and performed a flapjack spinebuster.

Storm and Awesome dominated Christian until Christian performed a back body drop to Awesome from the top rope. Edge and Storm tagged in, and Edge performed an Edge-O-Matic to Storm. Storm performed a jawbreaker, and attempted a double belly to back suplex with Awesome. Edge landed on his feet, and Christian performed a flying clothesline to both Storm and Awesome. Edge performed a spear to Awesome.

Storm attempted a superkick to Christian, but Edge shoved Christian, and took the kick himself. As Awesome held Edge in a crucifix, Christian performed a spear to Awesome. Edge landed on top of Awesome, and pinned him for the victory.

WWE Tag Team Championship
The Un-Americans (Lance Storm & Christian) vs. Booker-T & Goldust
Goldust and Christian start off. Christian runs into Goldust early and Storm comes in to get powerslammed. An uppercut on Christian gets 2. Storm in now and gets arm-dragged. Goldust hits an inverted atomic drop and clothesline and tags out. Rights by Booker and a reverse elbow. Knee by Storm, but he runs into a sidewalk slam. Booker hits a big knee drop and gets 2. Goldust in, and hits an elbow off the second rope. A distraction by Christian allows Storm to take over and tosses Golddust to the floor where Christian beats down on him. Storm gets a 2 count back in. Stomps by Storm and rights now. Christian in and shuts down a comeback. The heels work Goldust over with quick tags and classic tag team trickery. Christian gets 2 off of a back breaker. Goldust manages to catch Storm with a quick jackknife roll up for 2.

A spinebuster makes an opening for a hot tag but Christian is in first and slows down Goldust again. Storm manages to distract the referee so Booker’s tag isn’t allowed and the champs pretty much rape Goldust in their corner. The isolation continues, but Goldust fights out of the heels corner, catapults Christian into Storm but Christian and Goldust take each other out with a clothesline. Storm sneaks round to pull Booker off the apron to stop another tag. The heels bring chairs in the ring and miss the conchairto. Goldust hits a double clothesline and now gets the hot tag! Booker cleans house with clothesline and back drops and chops and rights and the like. Up top, missile dropkick from Booker! That gets 2 as Goldust takes Storm out.

Scissors Kick misses, Unprettier blocked, flapjack by Booker! Storm takes out the referee with a leg lariat as Booker ducks, and Booker takes care of both champs with a Scissors Kick! SPINAROONI! Christian runs into an axe kick but there’s no referee. Storm has the tag title belt but misses and gets taken out of the ring. Test slides in though and boots Booker in the face, allowing Christian to pick up the win!

Later in the night, both Christian and Lance Storm interferred in Test’s match, against the Undertaker but were both chokeslamed.
